It’s not difficult to learn to trade stocks online. In fact, online stock trading is definitely the way to go for a number of reasons.

These days many traders use a discount stock broker in order to place their trades. Just about every discount stockbroker has a platform set up for Internet stock trading.

This is very different from before online stock trading became popular. Although I still like to receive my monthly stock trading statements as a hard copy through the mail, I do like the convenience of being able to see my portfolio equity in real-time simply by logging into my account.

For the active trader it makes perfect sense to trade stocks online. There is no need to interface with a human stockbroker and you can get your trades placed much faster. There’s also the added convenience of being able to "park" orders. This is always been one of my favorite features of most online stock trading platforms. Parking in order simply means setting up an order for later execution and having it stored in your trading platform. When you are ready for that "parked" order to become live you can simply press send and your order is then live.

As you can clearly see trading stocks online is the ultimate in convenience as well as efficiency for today’s trader. As time goes on online trading platforms will only get more and more sophisticated and this will benefit traders even more.
